(Bloomberg) -- Dubai is finally choking off the glut of properties that’s plagued the market for years, according to one of the city’s top builders, though numbers hardly show it.

Azizi Developments has announced that 30% of the work has been completed across its premium off-plan projects - Park Avenue I, II and III - at MBR City in Dubai, featuring 372 residential and 29 retail units, which are on track for delivery by Q4 2022.

UAE-based Azizi Developments is set to release more than 150 retail units from the remaining stock across its projects including the waterfront community project Riviera, Creek Views in Dubai Healthcare City, and several buildings within Al Furjan.

Azizi Developments said it has extended its agreement with Toshiba Elevator, the leading Japanese makers of the world’s fastest elevators, to supply and install passenger and service elevators at its flagship waterfront project, Riviera, in Dubai.

UAE-based Azizi Developments said it has sold over 95 per cent of the residential buildings within Al Furjan community. A substantial portion of the unsold units is still kept unreleased and will be added to the available inventory soon, it added.
