Ellsworth Air Force Base broke ground Monday on a new weapons generation facility that will support the B-21 mission.

The U.S. Air Force is advancing its aerial combat capabilities with the development of the B-21 Raider, a strategic stealth bomber designed for deep-penetration strikes against sophisticated air defenses of near-peer adversaries like Russia and China.

US intelligence officials claim China's H-20 stealth bomber isn't as advanced as the US's B-21 Raider, citing significant engineering challenges. Despite this, the H-20's potential lies not in matching the B-21's sophistication but in its adequate capabilities and mass production strength.

U.S. could win a war with China today, but would suffer heavy losses, the official told reporters.

There are some who argue that the U.S. should deprioritize funding for the B-21 and instead pour its funding into cheaper drones. The Air Force can and should fund both.
