Kings, Abahani to clash in high-voltage encounter today

Defending champions Bashundhara Kings and runners-up Dhaka Abahani Limited will lock horns with each other today in a high-voltage match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League football match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital at 4:00pm.
Holders maintained an unbeaten run to 11 matches in the league and consolidated the top spot with 31 points from 10 wins and a draw. The star-studded club scored 28 goals and conceded only 4. Kings’ Brazilian forward Robson Azevedo Da Silva Robinho currently leading the top scorers list in netting 12 goals including a hat-trick.

Defending champions Bashundhara Kings will be eyeing to be back in winning way when they host Arambagh Krira Sangha in their ninth round match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League on Tuesday at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Cumilla.
Kings played a goalless draw with Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited after winning seven consecutive matches in the ongoing league.
Kings are still leading the BPL points table with 22 points and they are currently having a four-point lead over second-placed Dhaka Abahani Limited.
Arambagh KS are at the bottom of the table and they are yet to open the account despite playing seven matches so far.

Defending champions Bashundhara Kings are determined to make their new home venue debut memorable as they take on Brothers Union Limited in a Bangladesh Premier League match at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Cumilla today.
The match is going to be the second home match for Kings this season. The holders played their first home match against Uttar Baridhara Club at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on the opening day of BPL after Cumilla venue wasn t completely ready for hosting matches.
Kings Technical Director BA Jobayer Nipu told The Daily Sun on Friday that the team was optimistic to showcase the best performances in their first match at their new venue.
