April 5, 2022 – The Charlotte Hornets and Official Hunger Relief Partner Food Lion Feeds are distributing 3,000 backpacks to local children facing food insecurity. The Backpacks include eight nutritious, ready-to-eat food items, in preparation for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ upcoming Spring Break, when school meals will not be available.

NEWTON — The Backpack Program of The Corner Table is hosting its fourth annual Standup to Hunger fundraiser on Tuesday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. at Novel Taproom in Newton.

Funds raised at the event will go to support the Butte Emergency Food Bank's Backpack Program that feeds hungry students.
