UAE: Hot day, partly cloudy skies in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, rains expected in some areas, temperatures to hit 48°C

Today’s weather condition, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy across the UAE. It will be rather hot, hazy and dusty during the day time. However, some parts of the country will see partly cloudy weather with a chance of rainfall. The NCM said: “The weather will be partly cloudy in general especially over the Eastern and Southern areas extending to some internal areas, with some rainy convective clouds formation.” The highest temperature recorded over the country yesterday was 48.2°C in Bada Dafas (Al Dhafrah) at 2:45pm. Temperature highs in internal areas are expected to reach 43-48°C. In the coastal areas, temperature highs will be between 40-45°C, and 31-36°C in the mountainous regions.

According to the NCM: [The weather will be] Sunny to partly cloudy in general, hot and hazy at times during daytime. Low clouds appear over the East coast by morning, with a probability of some convective clouds formation by afternoon Eastward.

In the coastal areas, temperature highs will be between 40-44°C, and 33-38°C in the mountainous regions. Winds will be slightly stronger during the day, blowing dust. The NCM added, residents can expect, “Light to moderate winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand with a speed of 15- 25, reaching 35 km/hr.”
