Local woman holding memorial service for grandfathers who fought on opposite sides of Civil War
Carolyn Williams grew up hearing about her familys service in every U.S. conflict since the Civil War. It inspired her own military service, as well as her childrens, and this weekend, she will pay tribute to the veterans in her family who served the longest ago, Pvts. Daniel Tarlton Powell and Wesley White, both veterans of the Civil War who fought on opposite sides.
