we have clear air in some parts. that doesn t mean you should leave. stay sheltered, hunkered in. the eyewall is where the strong winds come in and they are coming in quickly. hopeful little they will take a northeastern turn. 160-mile-per-hour winds. they were up to 185-mile-per-hour winds. that s a little bit of good news. maybe a little wind shear as well. moving west. parked over the bahamas. they have until tonight before they see some relief. remains a category five throughout the day. by tuesday, category 4 storm. still a major hurricane. stays a major hurricane. also on wednesday and thursday. it s not until friday where we see a cat 2 storm. a landfall along by the coast. cape hatteras. we will watch that. it will move off north and east. it is moving very, very slow.
