Theres still the possibility the eye could make landfall, but even if it doesnt, theyre still concerned about life threatening storm surge and flash flooding. Overnight the storm did weaken to a category 1. But more than 340,000 people are without power this morning and that number is rising. Meanwhile, the official death toll in the bahamas has grown to 30. Officials expect they say that number to increase drastically in the coming days.
