Marcia D Moldstad, long time resident of Bainbridge Island, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2003, after a brief illness. Born and raised in Seattle, she graduated from Seattle University in 1955, and enjoyed the next year traveling the west coast as a flight attendant for Western Airlines. Marcia was married and moved to Bainbridge Island in 1956, where she lived for most of her life. She had a 25 year career in real estate with Deschamps Realty (later Coldwell Banker Bain) which she loved, in part, because of the wonderful friendships she made and kept throughout her life. In retirement, Marcia volunteered with Bainbridge Arts and Crafts, Bainbridge Performing Arts, and the Bainbridge Public Library. She felt strongly about the arts, and liked being part of the local community. She enjoyed international travel with friends, family gatherings at Lake Chelan, outings to the beach, and time with her grandchildren. Marcia is survived by her daughters, Catherine Harrison, Fayetteville,
From Irish dancing to a national poet, from symphonic music to comedy improv and a play from a classic novel, Bainbridge Island Museum of Arts is offering a wide variety of entertainment the next few weeks.
