A Satsuma man was arrested Sunday after deputies found a woman dead in the same residence where the man was threatening to harm himself, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. 

In the State of Florida, someone who is concerned for a family member’s safety can utilize a document called an ex parte order which would allow for temporary detention through the baker act.

The sheriff’s office said Deputy Kevonn Mabon also should have alerted authorities of another deputy’s mental health crisis.
