Norfolk High School’s state one-act hosting contract with the Nebraska School Activities Association will expire after this year’s play productions, an NSAA representative said.
Dr. Jon Cerny of Bancroft-Rosalie Community Schools recently received a plaque in recognition of his service as President of the Association for Career and Technical Education of Nebraska for 2022-23.

Bancroft, NE (KTIV) On Wednesday, the Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department vaccinated at least 120 people at a clinic held at Bancroft-Rosalie Community Schools.
It was the second clinic of the day for the health department. They vaccinated 50 more people in Craig on Wednesday morning.
A nurse with the health department said they re not close to done just yet. We ve been pretty busy this week. Clinics yesterday, clinics today and we have a big clinic tomorrow, we re geared up for Norfolk. Hoping to give about 580 vaccines tomorrow, and we re just happy to be here giving them out, said nurse Caitlin Gillham.
LINCOLN, Nebraska (Lincoln Journal Star) It took some convincing, but Micah Shade’s parents finally let him play Hastings Midget Football last year.
The home-schooled sixth grader said playing football alongside other boys his age “was one of the best experiences” of his life, lamenting that under the current laws, he may not get to continue.
“For the other kids on my team, they can go on to play football at their middle schools and high schools,” Shade told the Legislature’s Education Committee on Monday. “For me, I thought this was my only year to play.”
A bill (LB210) from Sen. Dave Murman of Glenvil would allow home-school students like Shade to participate in extracurricular activities at their local public school.
