The holidays may be over, but we are not yet done giving you treats as ABS-CBN TFC extends your chance to catch three 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entries: “Fan Girl,” “The Boy Foretold by the Stars,” and “Mang Kepweng: Ang Lihim ng Bandanang Itim,” which can be seen outside the Philippines via iWantTFC, Ktx.ph, and TFC IPTV.
Given the current health risk posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, MMFF was held differently compared to the previous years. Instead of people lining up at the cinemas, they were able to watch the official entries at the comfort of their homes through streaming.

PASIG CITY, Jan. 6 (PIA) -- Criminal charges were filed on Monday against 54 individuals caught by the Optical Media Board (OMB) in coordination with the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF)’s Anti-Piracy Task Force for illegally streaming, downloading and distributing film entries of the on-going film festival.
Violations of Republic Act 8293, otherwise known as Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, and RA 9239 or Optical Media Act of 2003 were filed against four persons who were taken into custody by agents of OMB in separate operations in Manila City and Quezon City.

With the type of year we’ve had this 2020, perhaps the best antidote is some mindless comedy. This may be the motivation that compelled ABS-CBN Films and Cineko Productions to push through with another instalment of the Mang Kepweng franchise.
Synopsis: Mang Kepweng: Ang Lihim ng Bandanang Itim reunites fans with Mang Kepweng (Vhong Navarro), the faith healer who was given the power of the bandanang pula (red scarf) to heal people and fight the bad guys in the first movie.
However, he becomes a local celebrity and grows drunk with his success. As a result, the magic scarf begins to lose its power. A villain named Maximus Tolonges (Joross Gamboa) enters the picture to steal a powerful black bandana from Encadia. The bandana is powerful enough to bring illness and hardship to both the human and fairy realm and Mang Kepweng is the only one who can stop him.
