On Friday July 7, The Hamilton Live in Washington D.C. presents Black Joe Lewis with Sol Roots for a night of upbeat funk, raw and raucous rock, deep blues and soul, and hypnotic grooves! Black Joe Lewis is a contemporary singer and guitarist with a bent toward vintage blues, soul, and R&B. He formed Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears in Austin, Texas, in 2007. In March 2009, Esquire listed Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears as one of the "Ten Bands Set to Break Out at 2009s SXSW Festival.

To close out the spring 2023 semester, the U of A Bands will host three nights of concerts — today, Wednesday and Thursday — featuring performances by all five concert bands.
