CAMP GEN. ALEJO S. SANTOS, Bulacan - Three individuals were arrested in separate police operations in this province for violating the gun ban on Tuesday. The gun ban is enforced by the Commission on Elections in connection with the May 9 polls. In a police report on Wednesday, Col. Rommel Javier Ochave, acting provincial director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, said the suspects were identified as Kyle Christian Mendones, of Barangay Lias, and Nomer Mendoza, of Barangay Ibayo, both in Marilao town, and Marcelo Yambot, a former barangay watchman of Barangay San Agustin, San Miguel town. The Marilao police launched "Oplan Sita" along Lias Road after receiving an intelligence report that Mendones often carried a gun and illegally fired it in Barangay Lambakin which alarmed the residents.
