Primo Ogatis, Jr., head of the Antique Provincial Population Office, said Thursday each of the BSPO received PHP12,000 cash incentive from Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao. "The BSPOs are being given incentive yearly by the provincial government in appreciation of their services as volunteers in the promotion of responsible family planning and adolescent health," he said.

BATANGAS CITY – The long wait is over for A1 priority groups or medical health frontliners from public and private facilities here as their inoculation kicked off at the Batangas City Convention Center Wednesday.
At least 1,051 health professionals from public and private health facilities headed by City Health Officer Dr. Rosanna Barrion have received their first jab of the Sinovac vaccine.
They will be inoculated until the supplies for the first jab last.
In the A1 group are the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPO), Barangay Health and Emergency Response Teams (BHERTS), workers at dental clinics, free standing clinics (medical and optical), frontliners in schools, other healthcare facilities, the City Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the City Social Welfare and Development

The greening endeavor has been expanded into integrated farming basically not just communal gardening but it now infuses breeding of tilapias and native chickens.
Mayor Jerry Treñas Ediscape (Edible landscaping) program has been initiated in 12 pilot barangays through the City Population Office and Barangay Service Point Officers late last year. We already have 32 barangays willing to join. We will try to look at other technologies that can fit in an urban setting so we can maximize agriculture s economic potentials, said Acting City Agriculturist Iñigo Garingalao.
