A robber was killed while his two cohorts were arrested in an encounter with police in Malabon City on Tuesday, May 25.

Police identified the victims as Felizardo Pablico, 49, resident of Sta. Cruz, Manila; and Reynaldo Nuque, Jr., 49, resident of Barangay Tugatog, Malabon City.
Pablico was reportedly a member of the Sputnik Gang, according to the police.
Police also said that Nuque was a former police officer assigned at the Caloocan City Police Station who went on absence without leave (AWOL).
Investigation showed that the two victims were onboard a jeepney plying Quezon Boulevard at around 10 a.m.
Then, the four unidentified gunmen, clad in black jackets, helmets, and face masks, appeared on the right side of the vehicle and shot the victims before fleeing toward Recto Avenue.
