Had woken up that were trapped on their balconies and lower basement windows. They could not get out because hallways were full of smoke. Police initiated rescues. Fire companies, baron hill wissohickon and they were dispatched when they arrived every ground ladder they could use was used in the area of the devices and fireman assisted the police in evacuating the residents from the building. Our First Priority is life safety. We had limited crews on fire suppression. Once we had occupants accounted for then efforts were getting the the fire under control. Reporter a couple injuries as well, in the specific unit where this started. In the unit where fire start there had were five residents in that unit. Two were transported to abington hospital with smoke inhalation a third one was transported to abington with burns on the feet and they have been transported down to temple burn unit.
