Photo by Bart Young/NBAE via Getty Images Tonight, the Utah Jazz (48-18) take on the Denver Nuggets (44-22) in a game where both teams are playing short-handed. For Utah, both Donovan Mitchell (ankle) and Mike Conley (hamstring) are still out. With the season coming to a close, the Jazz are obviously going to be very cautious with their heath so that come playoff time, these injuries don’t linger. On Denver’s side, they’ve unfortunately been hit with the injury-bug as a of late. Jamal M...

Nicholas Burman , April 3rd, 2021 09:26 While Robert Crumb’s style and dedication to his generation’s underground comix artists has inspired a huge array of artists from a variety of backgrounds and of numerous identities, for decades his depictions and framing of women and his adoption of racist stereotypes have been under fire Crumb’s World, 2021. Photo by Bart Young/NBAE via Getty Images Just a couple weeks removed from the 20-1 stretch of games where a loss was nigh unfathomable, the Jazz have lost 4 of their last 6 games. Over that stretch Utah has allowed a 116.1 ORTG to opponents, a mark that would 27th for the season. Furthermore, Jazz are allowing 55.3% eFG to opponents in those 6 games, a mark that would rank 25th for the season. Utah’s defensive plan of forcing inefficient looks has wilted of late with the team ranking 22nd in...

Photo by Fernando Medina/NBAE via Getty Images Most things have gone extremely well for the Jazz this season. Continuity, health, experience, and refined strategies have all aided in a blistering hot start to the season that’s carried Utah to a 27-7 record with just two games left in the first half schedule: @NOP and @PHI. While important to be self-aware and self-critical for continuous improvement, there’s not much to nitpick, frankly. Here how the Jazz measure up to highly correlated met...

Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis faces a lengthy injury layoff despite a scan revealing he had not suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon, ESPN reported Monday.

Photo by Melissa Majchrzak/NBAE via Getty Images The Utah Jazz have played 16 games. They are 12-4 and currently tied for the second best record in the league. They have the fourth best net rating, or second best when you filter out garbage time. Basically, they’re in a groove. MVP When this season started, the only players in contention for team MVP were Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell. Rudy has held this title for quite a while, but after Donovan’s unbelievable playoff series, he looked...

Is the Jazz sixth man simply on a hot streak, or is he really just this good?

Jan 14, 2021 James Harden is bound for Brooklyn, where his lumberjack beard will endear him to local hipsters and his DIY offense should endear him to basketball fans. (His stance on home composting is unknown.) There, in the land of brownstones and boutique bodegas, he will join Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, two other peripatetic NBA beatniks with dazzling skills and glossy résumés. They will form the most fearsome trio in the Eastern Conference, and perhaps in the league. If it all goes we...
