More than half of St. Johns County residents fully vaccinated
The total number of St. Johns County adults fully vaccinated against COVID-19 surpassed 50% in Sunday s report, according to data from the Florida Department of Health.
Another 513 county residents became fully vaccinated, for a total of 118,161 to reach 50.17%. The percent was at 50% in Saturday s report. The county is No. 2 in the state behind Sumter, which has a fully vaccinated rate of 63.26% (76,546 complete).
These residents were completely vaccinated, either with a single Johnson & Johnson vaccine or the second in a series of two-shot vaccines.
A total of 134,844 St. Johns County residents, or 57.26%, have received at least one shot of a vaccine. The county added 286 new vaccinated residents.
