Leukemia claims Dale A McNulty, board president of the PB Symphony

Shannon Donnelly Palm Beach Daily News Dale Archer McNulty, a longtime resident who served as president of the board of the Palm Beach Symphony, died Monday, April 26, surrounded by his family. He was 79. A devout man, he died after receiving the last rites of the Catholic Church and a papal blessing.  Born May 9, 1941, in New York, he was the son of F. Jerome and Patience, nee Mullendore, McNulty.  Mr. McNulty grew up in Palm Beach, where he attended Palm Beach Public School and Palm Beach Private School. After graduating from Fairfield University in Connecticut, he had a nearly 40-year career as a member of the New York Stock Exchange.

Daytona attorney overcomes blindness, alcoholism to re-pass Bar exam

Four years ago, Norton moved to Daytona Beach, home of the Division of Blind Services rehabilitation center, where he learned new skills, graduated from the Daytona State College paralegal program and, at age 72 earlier this month, passed the Florida Bar exam  more than 40 years after clearing it the first time. For Norton, life is again going swimmingly. One day in Miami Norton had a charmed childhood. Born in San Diego in 1949, his family moved to New York, then later Miami, following the career arc of his father, Dr. Edward Norton, an ophthalmologist who was on his way to founding the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami  today the U.S. News & World Report No. 1 rated eye hospital.

Alimera Sciences believes it has a solution.  A Daily Microdose Recently, the Cleveland Clinic published a paper, “The Effect of Delay in Care Among Patients Requiring Intravitreal Injections,” regarding the results of patients missing their prescribed vision loss treatments due to the COVID pandemic.  This 1,041-patient retrospective analysis examined the effect of a delay in care on the visual acuity of patients requiring intravitreal injections. The authors looked at patients with retina disease who had received an intravitreal injection in the 12-week period prior to March 14, 2020 (start of the lockdowns).
