Artist Silvio Apponyi carves whales from red gum for new contribution to Bashams Beach
This whale is a frequent visitor to Encounter Bay in South Australia. Now an artist has carved a fallen red gum, weighing all of seven tonnes, into a likeness of the mother and her calf.
