On the occasion, it was informed that 04 beneficiaries shall be provided the Hiring Centres one each from Trehgam, Handwara, Sogam and Tangdar agriculture sub divisions. Whileas, two Machinery Banks were also sanctioned one each for Treham and Handwara sub division. It was further informed that financial assistance of Rs.31 lakh shall be provided to the beneficiaries under the Centrally Sponsored Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM) scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that these innovative schemes have been introduced in the Agriculture Department to facilitate the farmer community for increasing their income. He said that District Administration is always on forefront to support the Agriculture and allied departments as the Agriculture is the backbone of the rural economy.

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Saturday issued an arrest warrant against Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed in a money laundering case related to terror funding in Jammu and Kashmir.
Besides issuing the non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Saeed, Special Judge Praveen Singh also issued warrants against three co-accused Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Ahmad Shah Watali, separatist Altaf Ahmad Shah alias Funtoosh and businessman from the UAE Naval Kishore Kapoor who are currently lodged in the Tihar central jail here, seeking their production before the court.
The court passed the direction while taking cognisance of a chargesheet filed in the matter by the Enforcement Directorate for alleged money laundering.
