The arrested four CHENNAI: In a huge haul, the Chennai police seized 1.36 kg methamphetamine worth ₹1.4crore during a vehicle check at Velachery on Friday night and apprehended four people. They also seized two cars and two bikes from them. A police team intercepted Ajmal Khan, 22, a resident of Triplicane, during a vehicle check at in Velachery. As he was under the influence of drugs, police frisked him and discovered a sachet containing white crystalline powderlike material in it. The team sent the man to the police station and the sachet seized from him was examined. The content was found to be MDMA, a psychoactive drug. Police said 1g of the drug was sold at ₹10,000 in the international market.
