FORT NOVOSEL— Local civic leaders from the City of Geneva visited Fort Novosel to participate in a Meet Your Army event to learn more about the Home of Army Aviation

US Staff Sgt. Zachary Melton was found dead in his car on Saturday at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. His death is the death in just 10 days after US Staff Sgt. Allen M. Burtram was found dead in his car.

The Viera High School Army JROTC Female Raider team placed 5th in the Florida Army JROTC Raider State championships held at Hudson High School in Hudson, Florida this past Saturday 2 December.  The Viera HS Female Raider team was one of 4 Brevard County Raider teams that qualified for the Raider State Championships.  The other teams were the Cocoa Beach Male and Female Raider teams, the Merritt Island Mixed Raider team and the Viera Female Raider team.
