Ariz Khan, convicted of the murder of a Delhi Police inspector, has been given the death penalty. Earlier on Monday, a Delhi court had reserved its order on the quantum of sentence for Ariz Khan, who was allegedly associated with terror outfit Indian Mujahideen.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday came down hard at the Congress and other Opposition parties following a Delhi court s verdict awarding death sentence to Indian Mujahideen terrorist Ariz Khan for the murder of decorated Delhi Police Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma in connection with the sensational 2008 Batla House encounter case.Â
Slamming Congress president Sonia Gandhi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for raising questions over the encounter, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said the verdict has exposed those who have a habit of sympathising with terrorists.
