The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bawku Central in the Upper East region, Mahama Ayariga, has dismissed claims that the military is not involved in the killing of three individuals in the constituency. 

Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, says there should be harsh consequences for military personnel engaged in extra-judicial killings in Bawku.

His comment follows recent killings in the area by unidentified gunmen and military men leading to the deaths of five persons in the area.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Bawku, Amadu Hamza Zanga, has stated that the three young men, whom some soldiers shot, were involved in a gunfight with the military.

The recent shooting incident in the Bawku Central constituency of the Upper East Region has been strongly condemned by the Member of Parliament, Mahama Ayariga.
