PORT MacDonnell artist and community stalwart Jeremy Ievins has been awarded Grant District Council’s Citizen of the Year Award.
The talented artist will be recognised for his involvement and achievements at council’s Australia Day ceremony on January 26.
Mr Ievins is well known for his artistic endeavours, including his work at the Tarpeena Skate Park, Mount Gambier stobie art project, the Port MacDonnell op shop sign project and Mount Gambier Migrant Centre’s Great Wall of Cultures mural.
The renowned surfer painted a denim jacket to be auctioned at a Sydney charity ball for Waves of Wellness, a mental health surf therapy charity committed to changing lives for people experiencing mental health challenges.
