District police officer Imran Khan told journalists that an accomplice of the arrested men was also arrested.
He said six uniformed men had abducted Noor Khan of Baz Kallay when he was driving a car near Malanag Adda on the Indus Highway on the night of June 27.
Mr Khan said the police recovered the car from Bakkakhel area in Bannu, adding the Bannu division police chief Sajid Ali Khan had formed a special team to trace the gang and ensure safe recovery of the abducted man.
The DPO said the police obtained the call data record (CDR) of the kidnapped person and used modern technology to reach the gang.
