Bear Safety Tips News Today

The University of Montana Police Department reports they received three black bear reports on Saturday.

Authorities believe the young black bear is the same one that has been spotted in nearby communities for weeks.

"I come around the corner and there was a bear, and he was taking off with one of his chickens," said Richard Ciulla, a neighbor of the family who owns the chickens. "So I yelled at the bear and he turned around and looked at me like nothing."

Police in Dighton are sharing safety tips for residents after multiple bear sightings have been reported in the area recently.
