Last year, for the first time in living memory, the Nevada Day Parade had to be cancelled in order to safeguard the health of our community. This year, due to so many Nevadans choosing to become vaccinated and the lifting of certain mandates from Gov. Steve Sisolak, the Nevada Day Parade will continue as planned.

Bob Stransky has always had fun competing in the Beard Contest as part of the annual Nevada Day celebration. However, he’s taken a more earnest tone this year as he takes over for the first time as chairman of the competition.
