RTE S Ryan Tubridy said the death of Cork soprano Cara O Sullivan is cruel and difficult - as the singer will be laid to rest after a private family funeral.

RTE host Ryan Tubridy extended his condolences to her family on his Radio One show this morning.
He said: I do want to pass on my condolences to the family of Cara O Sullivan. I didn t know that she had early-onset dementia in 2018 a couple of years ago, and she passed away in Marymount Hospice at the age of 59.
