The next best chance of a free lawn and garden watering doesn't arrive until sometime next week when the ridge of high pressure breaks down. Until then, enjoy this prelude to the Dog Days of summer with hazy sunshine at times. It's about as good as it gets! Check the blog for more details. -Todd Nelson

Another potentially bad smoke day is shaping up today, with enough murky sunshine for 80 degrees. Smoke may keep us a few degrees cooler. We cool off tomorrow with a stiff wind blowing from the east, before temperatures mellow by the weekend. I see hazy sunshine and low 80s for Memorial Day weekend. Clouds increase today with a few showers, even a rumble of thunder Thursday, as temperatures rise into the 60s. A huge storm stalling over Michigan will keep windblown rain showers in the forecast this weekend, but dreary highs in the 40s give way to 50s and 60s next week. More sunshine today and Wednesday helps us green up a little faster, with showers returning by Thursday. This weekend a massive, full-latitude storm will stall over the Great Lakes, pulling rain and wet snow out of Canada into Minnesota and Wisconsin. A few inches for the Arrowhead? Maybe a little MSP slush Monday morning. Check the blog for more details. -Todd Nelson

A cold storm sparks scrappy clouds today and sprinkles tomorrow, but it will start to feel like spring later this week, with highs poking into the 50s. A storm stalls over the Upper Midwest next weekend, keeping us cooler and wetter than normal. Check the blog for more details. -Todd Nelson

Another cool slap courtesy of Canada drops highs into the 30s by midweek but 40s return later in the week as our slow-motion meltdown continues. Models hint at a little slush Friday night. The pattern looks chilly and very capable of accumulating snow through the first or second week of April. Check the blog for more details. -Todd Nelson

Spring is coming, but its in no particular hurry this year. The sun peeks out much of this week with 30s and 40s; a few degrees below normal for this time of year. I see a little rain Thursday and slushy snow may accumulate Friday night. Check the blog for more details. -Todd Nelson

I see a cool bias into early April with 40s by day and 20s at night, a "Goldilocks Meltdown". Snow melts during the day, a nighttime freeze taps the brakes on runoff. We are far from out of the woods, and some experts are still fearing the worst river flooding in 2 decades. Check the blog for more details. -Todd Nelson

After a chillier than average Monday, itll be a much warmer week with temps warming into the 30s during the 2nd half of the week. Readings will be nearly +10F above average through the weekend with chances of rain and snow across parts of the Midwest. Check the blog for more details. -Todd Nelson

A stalled warm frontal boundary will fire off more clouds and a spattering of light showers and sprinkles this weekend. Well take any rain, after the driest September on record. If the sun stays out for a few hours we may hit 70F. Not a bad way to kick off October. Check the blog for more details. -Todd Nelson
