The deputy foreign ministers thrashed out plans to strengthen political
interaction, expand trade and economic contacts, and implement joint
projects in areas of mutual interest.
As BelTA reported earlier, an airstrike on 1 April destroyed the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital. The attack killed 11 people, including two generals and five military advisers of the Iranian Armed Forces.
On 2 April Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Tajikistan Viktor Denisenko met with
Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, Co-Chairman of
the Belarus-Tajikistan intergovernmental commission on trade and
economic cooperation Qurbon Hakimzoda.
During the ceremony, the ambassador emphasized that successful
development and strengthening of relations between Belarus and North
Macedonia fully corresponds to the interests of both countries and
peoples.
Authorities in Belarus this month sentenced a pastor to 15 days in jail for calling for prayer to end the Russian invasion of Ukraine after arresting him on Feb. 22, sources said.
