In order to increase the effectiveness of procurement operations for Belarusian power engineering enterprises and expand the use of exchange trade, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange has accredited a new broker – OAO Belenergosnabkomplekt.
The Chinese businessman said: “Last year we bought over 142,000m3 of sawn timber from the commodity exchange. Nearly 4 times as much as the year before that. This year we will continue increasing purchases and may explore other commodity groups.”
According to the agreements reached, the parties will use existing tools and a network of contacts to intensify Belarus-Kyrgyzstan exchange trade by encouraging businesses from Kyrgyzstan to use the BUCE platform.
Yury Chebotar noted that the common market of the Union State has always been a priority for Belarus and Russia. The share of Belarus in Russian imports increased to 8.8%, and the share of Russian supplies in Belarus' imports amounted to about 53%.
BUCE Chairman of the Board Aleksandr Osmolovsky welcomed the Russian delegation's initiative in favor of informing Samara Oblast enterprises about BUCE's advantages as an alternative tool for doing business in Belarus.
