PORTLAND, Texas â A local library turned into a drive-thru on Wednesday.
The Bell-Whittington Public Library in Portland hosted a Love Your Library Drive-Thru event.
Officials with the library tell us they usually host a Take Your Child To The Library event around this time of year. But because of the COVID-19 pandemic this year s event went mobile.
Parents drove their children up to the building where they were greeted by library officials who presented them with gift bags.
Inside those gift bags, kids found books and other library-related items.
