Four protesters who were appearing at the High Court for alleged breaches of injunctions ‘defied’ the court proceedings on Tuesday.

The group began a wave of demonstrations last year which included blocking the M25 and other roads in London, including around Parliament, as well as roads in Birmingham, Manchester and Dover.

Louis McKechnie, 21, was handed a three-month sentence at Londons High Court on November 17 last year for breaching an injunction designed to prevent Insulate Britains M25 blockades.

Today, the group was urged by LBC host Andrew Castle not to continue its protests into the new year, who told a member: Dont inconvenience people because someone is going to get killed.

Sherrilyn Speid, 34, will appear in court in January accused of dangerous driving and assault after she was filmed driving into Insulate Britain activists on the M25 stopping her taking her son to school.
