ATLANTA (Legal Newsline) – Three plaintiffs who negotiated settlements with a woman they accused of taking their money without providing the student loan debt services she promised say they are still waiting on their money.
Racketeering lawsuits said Julie Queler controlled a company that bought sales leads to identify individuals with large student loan balances, as well as another that called those people in order to refer them to the GM Law Firm.
The plaintiffs alleged they agreed to pay 50 percent of the total private student loan balance in monthly payments for 60 months. The suit states the payments were not applied in any way to their student loan balances and instead were fees that have been kept by the defendants.
