The money will fund a $17 million renovation, the agency said.
The Michaels Organization took ownership of the property April 16 when the financing closed, according to MassHousing. So as of now, it is the owner and will be overseeing the $17 million in renovations.
In January 2019, residents of Bergen Circle were forced from their homes due to major water leaks. They also complained of bed bugs and field mice, as well as other code violations, since before the water leak.
