Bids for the historic Deanprint business need to be in by next week and a meeting of creditors has been called for Manchester Printers Ltd as the troubled group continues to unravel, with accounts for Manchester Printers Group Ltd now flagged as overdue.

A further three meetings of creditors have been called for firms that are part of the Manchester Printers Group of companies with an NOI filed against another, while Chelma Graphics has been acquired in a solvent sale by one of its original co-founders.

The future for Manchester Printers Group is unclear after the former owner of one of its string of acquisitions was forced to buy his business back out of administration.

Acquisitive Manchester Printers Group (MPG) has bought its fourth print business in four months, with the latest deal being its biggest to date.

Manchester Printers Group has acquired Chester-based business Signature Printing, the third acquisition it has made since April – with more set to follow.
