Livermore and san jose are at 58. It nearnormal temperatures. We went from 70s at napa, and 77 in antioch and brentwood to 80s in santa rosa. Of these are pretty close to seasonal averages. The onshore wind, napa is at 57. Things have cooled out because of that win, and the clouds had back to the coast. The coast and the bayer at 60s and 70s. All right. Lets get over to sal. Anything new, or is it okay out there . It is okay, we have nothing new, as a matter of fact it is a nice drive around the bay bridge. A lot of the commutes that we would see normally, you can take a look at the pictures. Traffic is moving along pretty well at the bay bridge. It is not a bad commute. We drive into San Francisco. And you can see it here traffic is moving along quite well with no major issues. No problems this morning on interstate 880. No issues on any of the bridges including the san mateo bridge. It is northbound on 101, but it is dark in this picture. Traffic is a little bit slow because of an earlier accident near 880. We can also see lights in the picture. Money put it on the map. Northbound 10128 80, there was a crash right there. They are clearing the vehicles. It is a pretty good way to go. The east bay commute includes 880 and oakland, and at the bay bridge we do not have a big delay. Lets get back to the headlines. It looks like into the weekend. This is the biggest fog bank in recent memory. A big surge on the low cloud deck. That tells you we are in a stratis cool pattern. 60s and 70s and 80s inland. Onshore breeze for just about everybody from the Golden Gate Bridge all the way out to the delta. Thats a big fog bank. Temperatures near average. It is 7 01 a. M. Are we okay out there . We had an earlier accident at ashby avenue. There was a crash in berkeley at ashby. We can see traffic will be slow here. A 30 minute delay about 10 minutes more than usual. The accident has been cleared. You can definitely tell it is causing a delay. People did not show up at the same rate. They were stuck behind the backup. As a result it is lighter. Right here in the bay area, there was 37,000 cases and nearly 670 deaths. New a new, the state superintendent of schools is urging districts to use an abundance of caution when it comes to reopening classrooms this coming fall. Superintendent Tony Thurmond held a virtual News Conference this morning on the efforts to support School Reopening decisions we talked about what the state is doing to help districts hold classes on campus. Thurmond is hoping School Districts do not rush to any Big Decisions on how to reopen. We know conditions have changed significantly. Those conditions warrant School Districts taking steps, i would say require an abundance of caution, to think through how reopening might take place, and to repair some contingency plans, if conditions persist. Just last month, the state department of education released 62 pages of guidance for districts on how to implement physical distancing and properly disinfect campuses.
