Irvine-based Silverado Senior Living Management Inc. and three of its managers at the time were charged in connection with 14 COVID-19-related deaths at a residential care facility in Los Angeles.

The operators of an upscale Los Angeles care facility for dementia patients were charged Tuesday with felony elder abuse and other criminal counts related to the deaths of an employee and thirteen residents during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic.

Thirteen residents and a nurse died during a COVID-19 outbreak at Silverado Beverly Place in the spring of 2020.
