K-pop supergroup BTS received their first Brit Award nomination for
International
Watermelon Sugar.
The winners of the 2021 awards will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday, May 11 at London s The O2
Arena, though it is not clear what form the ceremony will take because of coronavirus restrictions.
Under a current government roadmap for easing coronavirus rules, live music venues will not be allowed to open their doors until Monday, May 17.
The annual ceremony, which normally takes place in February, was postponed by three months because of safety and logistical concerns because of the pandemic.

To recall, Samsung announced its partnership with BTS in early 2020 as the K-Pop group started promoting the Map of the Soul: 7 album. Reports also stated that the tech giant would release an augmented reality service that could only be downloaded by Galaxy phone users.
Other speculations suggest that BTS will have more projects and campaigns with Samsung shortly. Being one of the biggest and most popular all-boy groups today, it comes as no surprise why the company is thrilled to have the world-renowned seven-piece outfit as its global endorser.

Meanwhile, BTS got a total of three awards in the HallyuLife Awards 2021. The award-giving body proclaimed BTS as the Artist of the Year.

BTS and BLACKPINK have reigned supreme again after they were announced, on Tuesday, Dec. 22, as two of the winners of the 2021 Korea First Brand Awards.
Jin, Jimin, Suga, J-Hope, V, RM and Jungkook, collectively known as BTS, received the Best Male Idol award while Jennie, Rose, Lisa and Jisoo, collectively known as BLACKPINK, were named as the Best Female Idol. Kang Daniel and MAMAMOO member Hwasa were, also, awarded as Best Male Solo Artist and Best Female Solo Artist, respectively.

Stray Kids, which is composed of Hyunjin, Bang Chan, Felix, I.N., Lee Know, Han, Changbin and Seugmin, received that Hot Male Trend award. On the other hand, (G)I-DLE, which is composed of Minnie, Jeon So Yeon, Yeh Shu Hua, Song Yuqi, Choi Mi Yeon and Seo Soo Jin, won the Hot Female Trend award.
