The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Fashola gave the assurance during a radio phone-in programme.
“I can tell you now that this weekend, it will be opened definitely; my directors are still in Lagos; the major works have now been finished, so let me say that again by way of information.
“Definitely this weekend it will be reopened. I will announce the date toward Friday and the reason I am holding back the exact date is that we are government.
“Any time we say something, people must reliably be able to plan their lives around what we say,’’ he said.

The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Rt. Hon Ude Oko Chukwu, says he is happy and full of pride to be associated with his principal, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, saying the Governor has indeed made Abia State an Investors Haven as a result of his unwavering commitment to security.
Oko Chukwu expressed satisfaction that under the watch of Governor Ikpeazu, Abia has been adjudged one of the safest states as well as a reference point on infrastructural development and MSMES promotion through his five Cardinal Policy Pillar Thrust of Education, Agriculture, Health, Trade and Investment and Oil and Gas and their enablers’.

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has ordered special medical treatment for nine Civilian JTF members attacked by Boko Haram.
They sustained serious injuries in a battle with insurgents in Dikwa. Some lost their legs and now crippled.
Zulum also approved foreign treatment for the personnel if doctors currently attending to them recommends.
The volunteers are part of thousands of others assisting the Nigerian militarily in ongoing battle against Boko Haram.
Zulum approved a 100 percent upward review of their monthly allowances. He assured of government’s continued support.
The governor paid tribute to them and the rest for their selfless sacrifices to the state and Nigeria in the war against terrorism.
