The cemetery clean-up honored the lives of Bernice and Sylvan Simon. The couple was killed while attending Saturday morning prayer services at the Tree of Life synagogue in 2018.

In a few weeks, Project Extreme will officially launch Allan’s House in Teaneck, a transitional group home for boys ages 18-25. Established by David Katz, in memory of his friend, Allan Henning, who passed away just weeks shy of his 46th birthday, Allan’s House will provide living accommodations for 5-10 residents who have experienced some type of crisis and worked through it.

Dina Baron, 18, made aliyah from Teaneck while studying for the year at MMY. She believes that the shock of not being allowed into Israel at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic sealed her decision to make aliyah.

Congregation Beth Abraham’s annual dinner on Wednesday, June 15 will honor two deserving couples and kickstart the final stage of the fundraising campaign for the Bergenfield shul’s major expansion.

On a day with near-perfect weather, a crowd of nearly 300, including Beth Abraham’s rabbinic and lay leadership, members and local dignitaries showed up for an afternoon of fun for the kids, a sumptuous picnic-dinner buffet and a personal address from Congressman Josh Gottheimer.
