The Cadiz-Trigg County Chamber of Commerce has added nearly a dozen new members in the past year despite a global pandemic. The Chamber hosted its first in-person Lunch and Learn in over a year Thursday, drawing over 30 members to the Cadiz Renaissance Center. The process to find a new principal for Trigg County High School continues, with a replacement possible by next month. Superintendent Bill Thorpe told board members Thursday evening, seven candidates had applied for the position, but one was eliminated because they did not meet the criteria. The Trigg County Chamber of Commerce will host two ribbon-cutting events over the next several days. Chamber Director Beth Sumner said the first event would be held Saturday morning at 8:00 at the Cadiz-Trigg County Farmer’s Market at 70 Main Street. Sumner added attendees and vendors are encouraged to follow social distancing guidelines and use masks when social distancing is not possible.
