Amid the pandemic and because of the continued frigid weather, one of the Gateway City’s prime homeless shelters is almost at full capacity.
According to the Bethany House of Laredo, it recently opened up more areas in its shelter to accommodate 40 new beds Monday for people seeking a place to stay warm amid the weather. However, these are now also nearly full as people have been flocking in looking for a place to stay.
