The project, called the Wilson Downtown Improvement Plan, is a partnership between the Wyoming Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration and the Wilson community. And the proposal includes a number of possible changes, like new sidewalks, START bus stops, an extended two-way left turn lane, and a pedestrian and cyclist bridge on the north side of the existing bridge over Fish Creek. US DOT Rebrands BUILD Grants to RAISE Grants, Gives Notice of $1 Billion in Funding The Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity, or RAISE Discretionary Grant program, announced that $1 billion in funding is available for grants to support infrastructure projects. April 15, 2021 Hillsborough County was recently awarded the BUILD grant, now called RAISE grants, to help improve the Big Bend Road corridor and make it safer for motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists as well as parents and children getting to the two Hillsborough County schools on the corridor.
