A man faces murder charges after investigators found 2 bodies southwest of des moines in union county. 37yearold Jerry Dillinger now is charged with 2 counts of first degree murder. The Iowa Division of criminal investigation found the body of Loretta Dillinger in a pond near lorimor last week. Investigators believe she was the suspects ex sisterinlaw. They also found another body yesterday this time near a house in thayer. Cedar Rapids Police say a standoff that lasted hours near Taylor Elementary school is over. Officers responded to a person was barricaded inside at a home at 538 eighth street sw around 3 30 this afternoon. Officers had their weapons visible and had closed off at least 3 blocks.
