Art for All

Our museum landscape has never looked so diverse, and that is on purpose.

In a singular style developed as a teenager over a career lasting three years, Abraham Ángel successfully captured the rapidly changing society and culture of Mexico City in the 1920s.

It's a busy end of 2023 in the North Texas art scene, with worthwhile exhibitions in both legacy institutions and galleries. Here are the ones you'll want to make time to visit.

Abraham Ángel embodied a new type of homegrown Mexican artist who rejected past European traditions in favor of local influences like arte popular.

A rare exhibit of the Mexican artist encourages a break with the past and a reflection of how his work, which was produced in the early 1920s, extends into the present.
