We had a lot of meetings yesterday on afghanistan. We have the strongest economy by far in the world. The tariffs have cost nothing, in my opinion, or certainly very little. We have import prices from and through july. Down 1. 8 . Import prices have gone down. China is eating the tariffs because of monetary manipulation. They are also pouring money into their country because they dont want to lose jobs. They lost over 2 million jobs in a short period of time. They want to make a deal. We will see what happens. I would like to see hong kong worked out in a humanitarian fashion. Xi can do it. Nt we are looking at afghanistan, we are talking to afghanistan, also talking to the taliban, having very good discussions. We will see what happens. Weve really got it down to probably 13,000 people and we will be bringing it down a little bit more and then we will decide whether or not we will be staying longer or not.
